My name is Camila Ferraris, and my writing journey really started the day I moved from Argentina to the United States in 2021. When I arrived, I did not speak any English at all, so every assignment and conversation felt like starting from zero. It was overwhelming, but it pushed me into a place where I had no choice but to learn, adapt, and grow step by step.
Over time, I learned how to organize my ideas, write clearer sentences, and revise my work without feeling lost. ENC1101 helped me understand writing as a process instead of something that has to be perfect on the first try. I learned how to take feedback without getting discouraged, how to plan before writing, and how to reread my own work with more intention.
I am still not perfect, and I do not need to be, but I am proud of how far I have come from the girl who arrived in 2021 with zero English and zero confidence. My writing now reflects who I am: someone who works hard, adapts, and never stops learning. This portfolio represents that growth.
